Acrylic acid-hydroxypropyl acrylate copolymer (CAS 55719-33-0) is a synthetic water-soluble polymer produced by copolymerising acrylic acid with hydroxypropyl acrylate. It is commercially known under designations including T-225, TS-609, and aa/hpa, and carries EC number 611-308-5. No E-code applies to this substance.

In water treatment, the polymer functions as a scale inhibitor and dispersant by adsorbing onto mineral crystal surfaces and interrupting crystal growth, reducing calcium carbonate and phosphate deposits in cooling and process water systems. In textile and paper processing, it acts as a rheology modifier, adjusting viscosity and improving fibre or coating suspension stability during production.

The material is supplied as an aqueous solution and is subject to REACH registration requirements within the European Economic Area.
