In textile and leather processing, ammonium stearate functions as an emulsifier by reducing interfacial tension between fatty components and water, enabling stable aqueous dispersions for finishing baths. In rubber compounding, it acts as a dispersing agent for fillers and pigments, improving homogeneity within the compound matrix. Building and construction formulators use it as a foam stabiliser and rheology modifier in cement-based systems.
