α-Bisabolol

α-Bisabolol (CAS 515-69-5), also known commercially as Dragosantol and dl-α-Bisabolol, is a naturally derived monocyclic sesquiterpene alcohol obtained primarily from chamomile oil. It carries no E-code designation and is classified under HS code 29061900. The synthetic racemic form is commonly supplied as the dl- variant.

In cosmetic formulations, α-Bisabolol functions as a skin conditioner by enhancing the penetration of active ingredients through the stratum corneum, improving delivery efficiency.
