Description

C.I. Pigment Yellow 65, also known as Hansa Yellow RN, Yellow RN, or by the colour index number C.I. 11740 (CAS 6528-34-3), is a monoazo organic pigment of the arylamide class. It carries no E-code designation and is supplied as a solid powder.

In printing inks for flexible packaging, it delivers clean yellow hues with reliable lightfastness under UV exposure, making it suitable for solvent- and water-based ink systems. In plastics compounding, it disperses into polymer matrices to produce consistent yellow coloration in films and moulded parts. Coatings formulators use it where strong tinting strength and heat stability are required.

The pigment is available in standard powder grades and is subject to REACH registration requirements for supply within the European Economic Area. Procurement teams should confirm compliance documentation, including Safety Data Sheets and technical data sheets, with the supplier prior to ordering.
