Calcium aluminosilicate

Calcium aluminosilicate (CAS 1327-39-5) is an inorganic mineral salt composed of calcium, aluminium, and silicon oxide units. It is commercially available under trade names including JC 30, CS 500, Grace 522, Silton JC 30, and silicatecement, and carries the EC number 215-476-7.

In water treatment and oil and gas processing, calcium aluminosilicate functions as a coagulant and flocculant by binding suspended particles and colloidal matter into aggregates that can be mechanically separated. In pharmaceutical and food manufacturing applications, it acts as a stabiliser by scavenging reactive species and controlling foam formation during mixing and processing operations.

This material is supplied in rod form and is subject to REACH registration requirements for European commerce.
