Calcium glycerophosphate

Calcium Glycerophosphate (CAS 27214-00-2) is an inorganic calcium salt of glycerophosphoric acid, also referenced under the names Calcium Glycerylphosphate, Calcium Glycerinophosphate, and Calcium Glycerol Phosphate. It carries no assigned E-number in the EU but is recognised under the FCC designation CALCIUMGLYCEROPHOSPHATE, FCC for food-grade applications.

In oral care formulations, it functions as a bioavailable calcium and phosphate donor that remineralises tooth enamel by replenishing ionic species at the enamel surface. Pharmaceutical manufacturers use it as a calcium supplement excipient where controlled mineral delivery is required. In food and nutrition products, it acts as a stabiliser, buffering pH while simultaneously delivering mineral fortification.

Calcium Glycerophosphate is sourced in food-grade (FCC) and pharmaceutical-grade forms, with compliance to Ph.Eur. monograph standards available on request. It falls under REACH registration obligations within the EU. The product is supplied as a white hygroscopic powder, typically in 25 kg bags or fibre drums.
