Description

Copper disodium EDTA (CAS 14025-15-1, EC 237-864-5) is an inorganic copper salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, also referred to as disodium EDTA-copper or disodium cupric EDTA. It carries no assigned E-code and is commercially supplied as a chelated copper complex combining the sequestering capacity of EDTA with a bioavailable copper centre.

In agriculture and animal feed, it delivers copper as a stable chelated micronutrient, maintaining solubility across a broad pH range and preventing precipitation in fertiliser solutions or premix formulations. In water treatment, it sequesters free copper ions to control scaling and inhibit oxidative degradation of treatment chemicals, extending system stability.

The material is available in technical and feed-grade forms and is subject to REACH registration requirements within the EU. Suppliers typically offer packaging in 25 kg bags or fibre drums. Procurement teams should request a full specification sheet confirming copper content, chelation efficiency, and heavy metal impurity limits.
