Description

Di(trimethylolpropane) tetraacrylate, commonly known as Di-TMPTA and sold under trade names including SR 355, Ebecryl 140, Aronix M 408, and Photomer 4306, is a tetrafunctional acrylate monomer with CAS number 94108-97-1. It carries no assigned E-code. Its four reactive acrylate groups give it a high degree of cross-linking potential relative to mono- or difunctional alternatives.

In UV- and EB-curable coatings, Di-TMPTA functions as a reactive diluent and cross-linker, reducing viscosity while building dense polymer networks that improve scratch resistance and chemical resistance upon cure. In radiation-curable adhesives and printing inks, its tetra-functionality accelerates cure speed and raises cross-link density, directly influencing bond strength and film hardness.
