Dilauryl thiodipropionate (DLTP, CAS 123-28-4) is a sulfur-based secondary antioxidant approved as food additive E389. It is commercially available under trade names including Tyox B, Antioxidant AS, and ANTIOXIDANT DLTP, and belongs to the thioester class of stabilizers.
In polymer processing, DLTP functions as a peroxide decomposer, interrupting oxidative chain reactions that degrade polyolefins during high-temperature extrusion.
