Description

Dipentaerythritol pentaacrylate (DPHPA, CAS 60506-81-2) is a multifunctional acrylate monomer commercially available under trade names including SR 399, SR 9041, SR 399E, and Sartomer 399. It carries no assigned E-code. Its five reactive acrylate groups give it a high degree of functionality relative to its molecular weight.

In UV- and EB-curable coatings, DPHPA acts as a reactive diluent and cross-linker, forming dense polymer networks that raise surface hardness and chemical resistance upon cure. In electronics, it is used in photoimageable solder masks and conformal coatings, where rapid cross-linking under UV exposure defines fine features with dimensional accuracy.

DPHPA is supplied as a liquid and is registered under REACH. Procurement teams should confirm SDS compliance with EU CLP regulation before import or formulation use. Standard packaging formats vary by supplier; buyers should request lot-specific documentation including purity certificates when sourcing for critical applications.
