Description

Dipropylene glycol methyl ether (DPM) is a glycol ether solvent registered under CAS 20324-32-7 and EC 243-733-3. It is also referred to by the abbreviation DPM and carries no assigned E-code, placing it outside food additive classifications. It is fully registered under REACH.

In coatings and printing inks, DPM slows evaporation rate to extend open time and improve film levelling, reducing surface defects. In electronics manufacturing, it functions as a flux cleaner and defluxing agent, dissolving rosin and water-soluble flux residues from PCB assemblies without attacking sensitive substrates.

DPM is supplied as a liquid in standard industrial packaging including drums and IBC containers. It complies with REACH registration requirements for supply within the EU and EEA. Procurement teams should confirm purity grade specifications with the supplier to match application requirements in adhesives, sealants, or precision cleaning processes.
