Description

Disodium laureth sulfosuccinate (CAS 36409-57-1) is an anionic surfactant derived from lauryl alcohol ethoxylate and maleic anhydride, classified under EC 253-019-3. It carries no assigned E-code or established trade abbreviation but is recognized in formulation literature as a mild, sulfosuccinate-type surfactant.

In personal care formulations, it functions as a primary or co-surfactant in shampoos and body washes, reducing interfacial tension to solubilize sebum and particulate soil while generating stable foam. In textile and leather processing, it acts as a wetting and emulsifying agent, enabling uniform dye penetration and consistent dispersion of finishing agents across fiber surfaces.

Disodium laureth sulfosuccinate is supplied as an aqueous solution and is subject to REACH registration requirements for EU market access. Procurement should confirm supplier compliance with relevant cosmetic regulations under EC 1223/2009 where applicable. Standard packaging includes drums and intermediate bulk containers.
