Description

Ethoxylated oleylamine (CAS 26635-93-8, EC 500-048-7) is a non-ionic surfactant produced by reacting oleylamine with ethylene oxide, available in grades varying by ethoxylation degree, including PEG-2, PEG-5, PEG-6, PEG-20, and PEG-30 oleamine. It carries no assigned E-code and is registered under REACH.

In textile processing, it functions as a fiber lubricant and antistatic agent by adsorbing onto fiber surfaces through its amine group while the ethylene oxide chain provides hydrophilicity. In metalworking fluids, it acts as an emulsifier and corrosion inhibitor, stabilising oil-in-water emulsions and forming a protective layer on metal surfaces. Agricultural formulations use it to improve pesticide wetting and spreading on leaf surfaces.

Ethoxylated oleylamine is supplied in liquid or paste form depending on the ethoxylation grade, with higher EO counts yielding more water-soluble products. Sourcing complies with REACH registration requirements. Procurement teams should confirm the specific EO molar ratio and any industry-specific purity documentation when placing orders.
