Ethyl linoleate (CAS 544-35-4) is the ethyl ester of linoleic acid, a naturally occurring polyunsaturated fatty acid derivative. It is commercially available under trade names including Mandenol and Nikkol VF-E, and is also referred to as ethyl linolate or linoleic acid ethyl ester. It carries no assigned E-code.
In personal care formulations, ethyl linoleate functions as a skin-conditioning emollient and carrier, delivering active ingredients transdermally by integrating into the lipid barrier.
