Description

Ethylene glycol monododecyl ether, also known as Laureth-1, C12E1, or LEO-10, is a short-chain ethoxylated fatty alcohol with one ethylene oxide unit attached to a C12 lauryl chain. It carries no E-code designation and is registered under CAS 4536-30-5 and EC 224-886-5.

In textile and leather processing, it functions as a low-foam emulsifier, reducing interfacial tension between oils and water to support scouring and degreasing baths. In agrochemical formulations, its short ethoxylate chain provides carrier and spreading properties that improve active ingredient uptake on leaf surfaces. Personal care formulators use it as an emulsification aid in rinse-off systems where foam suppression is required.

This material is supplied as a neat liquid and is subject to REACH registration requirements for EU import and use. Buyers should confirm grade specifications and SDS documentation prior to procurement. Standard packaging formats should be confirmed directly with the supplier.
