Description

Ethylenebis(oleamide), commonly abbreviated as EBO or BSO and sold under trade names including Kemamide W-20 and Glycolube VL, is a synthetic fatty acid amide derived from oleic acid and ethylenediamine. It carries no E-code designation and is identified by CAS 110-31-6 and EC 203-756-1.

In polymer processing, EBO functions as an internal and external lubricant, reducing melt viscosity and preventing die build-up during extrusion and injection moulding of polyolefins and PVC. In rubber compounding, it acts as a processing aid and slip agent by migrating to the surface, lowering inter-layer friction and improving mould release.

This product is supplied in bead form, which supports accurate dosing and dust-free handling in industrial environments. It is subject to REACH registration requirements within the EU. Buyers should confirm grade specifications and available pack sizes directly with the supplier to match processing and compliance requirements.
