Grape seed oil

Grape Seed Oil (CAS 85594-37-2, EC 287-896-9) is a fixed vegetable oil cold-pressed or solvent-extracted from the seeds of Vitis vinifera. It is also referenced under the trade name Leucoselect Indena and listed in supplier databases as Grape, ext. and GRAPEKERNELOIL. No E-code designation applies to this ingredient.

In personal care formulations, grape seed oil functions as a lightweight emollient carrier, delivering active compounds to skin without occlusive residue due to its high linoleic acid content. In food and nutraceutical applications, its natural tocopherol fraction provides oxidative stability to finished products.
