Iron(iii) sulfate hydrate

In water treatment, it acts as a coagulant by releasing Fe³⁺ ions that destabilise suspended particles and colloids, enabling flocculation and sedimentation. Pulp and paper producers use it for pH regulation during specific bleaching and effluent treatment stages.
