N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)ethylenediamine-N,N',N'-triacetic acid trisodium salt, commonly known as HEDTA-Na3 or Trisodium HEDTA, is a water-soluble aminopolycarboxylate chelating agent with CAS number 139-89-9. It is also marketed under trade names such as Monaquest ICA 120. No E-code designation applies to this substance.

In water treatment, HEDTA-Na3 binds calcium, magnesium, and heavy metal ions through stable complex formation, preventing scale deposition and metal-catalysed degradation. In textile and paper processing, it sequesters iron and manganese that would otherwise cause discolouration or interfere with bleaching chemistry. Personal care formulators use it to deactivate trace metals that accelerate product oxidation.
