In epoxy curing, TAEA acts as a crosslinker by reacting with epoxide groups through all three terminal amines, producing tightly networked polymer structures with elevated thermal and chemical resistance. In water treatment and metal-finishing formulations, its tripodal amine geometry enables strong chelation of transition metal ions such as copper, iron, and nickel, suppressing scale formation and corrosion.
