Description

N,N-bis(2-Hydroxyethyl)oleylamine, also known as N-Oleyldiethanolamine or POE (2) Oleyl Amine, is a fatty acid diethanolamine derived from oleic acid. It is commercially available under trade names including Armostat 710 and the designation O02-O10. No E-code applies to this substance.

In textile and leather processing, it functions as an emulsifier and antistatic agent by orienting its hydrophilic and lipophilic groups at interfaces to reduce surface tension and control charge buildup. In metalworking fluids and lubricant formulations, it acts as a boundary lubricant and corrosion inhibitor, forming a protective film on metal surfaces through amine adsorption.

This material is supplied as an oil-phase liquid and is subject to REACH registration requirements within the European Economic Area. Procurement teams should confirm supplier SDS documentation and confirm compliance with applicable workplace chemical regulations before use.
