Description

Nicotinamide (CAS 98-92-0) is the amide form of vitamin B3, also known under trade names such as Dipegyl, Benicot, Nicofort, Nicamindon, and Aminicotin. It carries no assigned E-code and is distinct from nicotinic acid in that it does not cause skin flushing, making it the preferred B3 form in most formulation contexts.

In personal care, nicotinamide functions as a skin conditioner and humectant by supporting the synthesis of NAD+ in keratinocytes, helping to regulate moisture retention and barrier integrity. In food and pharmaceutical manufacturing, it serves as a nutrient fortification agent and acts as a reaction catalyst in specific synthesis processes requiring a pyridine-based nitrogen donor.

Nicotinamide is supplied as a white crystalline powder in pharmaceutical grade (Ph.Eur., USP) and food grade (FCC) specifications, with REACH compliance documented for EU market access. Standard packaging includes 25 kg fiber drums, with bulk quantities available on request.
