Description
O,O'-Bis(2-aminopropyl)polypropyleneglycol (CAS 9046-10-0) is a polyether diamine built on a polypropylene glycol backbone, commercially known under trade names including Jeffamine D-2000, TS-64, and POPDA. It carries no assigned E-code. The terminal primary amine groups define its reactivity profile.
In epoxy coating formulations, the amine end-groups react with epoxide rings to form flexible, impact-resistant networks, with the PPG backbone contributing chain mobility that reduces brittleness. In polyurea and polyurethane systems for automotive and aerospace sealants, it functions as a chain extender and cross-linker, controlling segment flexibility and elongation at break.
This product is supplied as a liquid and is available in standard industrial drum and IBC formats. It is subject to REACH registration requirements within the European Economic Area. Buyers should request a current Safety Data Sheet and confirm grade specifications, including amine value and molecular weight distribution, prior to procurement.
