Description
PEG 120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate (CAS 86893-19-8) is a polyethylene glycol ether of methyl glucose dioleate, commercially available under trade names including Antil 120, Antil 120 Plus, and Antil 127. It is a non-ionic surfactant with a high HLB value, commonly abbreviated as PEG-120 MGD in formulation literature.
In rinse-off personal care formulations such as shower gels and shampoos, it functions as a rheology modifier by building viscosity through micellar network formation, reducing the need for salt thickeners. It also acts as an emulsifier and solubiliser in leave-on skin care systems, stabilising oil-in-water emulsions at low use concentrations.
PEG 120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate is supplied in liquid or paste form depending on grade. It is subject to REACH registration requirements within the EU and is commonly used in formulations compliant with ISO 16128 natural origin index calculations. Packaging formats typically include drums and IBCs.
