Description

Pigment Violet 23 (CAS 6358-30-1) is a synthetic organic pigment of the dioxazine chemical class, commercially known as Carbazole Violet, Dioxazine Violet, and Permanent Violet RL, with the Colour Index designation C.I. 51319. It carries no E-code, as it is not approved for food or cosmetic use.

In industrial coatings, Pigment Violet 23 delivers deep, transparent violet shades with strong tinting strength, making it effective for toning white bases and producing clean blue-violet hues. In plastics and printing inks, its high heat stability and lightfastness allow it to maintain colour integrity under processing temperatures and prolonged UV exposure.

Pigment Violet 23 is supplied as a dry powder and is subject to REACH registration requirements within the European Economic Area. Buyers should verify supplier Safety Data Sheets for SVHC compliance and confirm grade suitability for end-use applications such as food-contact plastics or outdoor coatings.
