Stannous octoate

Stannous octoate (CAS 301-10-0), also known as tin octoate, tin dioctoate, or by the trade name Nuocure 28, is an organotin compound supplied as a liquid catalyst. In polyurethane foam production, stannous octoate accelerates the gelling reaction between isocyanates and polyols, controlling cell structure and cure rate. In polylactic acid synthesis, it initiates ring-opening polymerisation of lactide monomers with high selectivity.
