Description

Triethylene glycol divinyl ether (CAS 765-12-8, EC 402-600-1) is a bifunctional vinyl ether monomer commercially known as DVE-3 or TEGDVE. It carries no E-code designation and is classified under HS code 2909.19.6000 within the ether family of reactive monomers and building blocks.

In UV-curable coatings and printing inks, DVE-3 acts as a reactive diluent and cross-linker, copolymerising with maleates or fumarates through cationic or free-radical mechanisms to build network density and control film flexibility. In adhesive and sealant formulations, its difunctional vinyl ether backbone bridges polymer chains, improving cohesive strength and adjusting the glass transition temperature of the cured matrix.

DVE-3 is supplied as a technical-grade clear liquid and falls under REACH regulation (EC 1907/2006), requiring an up-to-date Safety Data Sheet for EU procurement. No Ph.Eur. or FCC monograph applies. Packaging formats typically include drums and intermediate bulk containers; confirm current availability and lot documentation with your supplier.
