Trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate

Trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate (CAS 3290-92-4), commonly abbreviated as TMPTMA or TMPT and sold under trade names including SR 350, Chemlink 30, and Chemlink 3080, is a trifunctional methacrylate monomer with the molecular formula C18H26O6. It carries no assigned E-code and is registered under EC number 221-950-4.

In radiation-curable coatings and UV-inkjet printing inks, TMPTMA acts as a reactive diluent and crosslinker, forming a dense three-dimensional polymer network upon free-radical initiation to improve hardness and chemical resistance. In rubber compounding, it functions as a co-agent during peroxide vulcanisation, increasing crosslink density and heat resistance without compromising elastomer flexibility.

TMPTMA is supplied in industrial liquid grades and is subject to REACH registration within the EU. Procurement teams should verify supplier Safety Data Sheets for skin sensitisation classifications under CLP. Standard packaging includes drums and intermediate bulk containers, with inhibited grades available for extended shelf life.
