Phenoxyethyl caprylate

Phenoxyethyl caprylate (CAS 23511-73-1), also marketed as Tegosoft XC, is a synthetic ester used as an emollient, solvent, and carrier in cosmetic and industrial formulations.

It combines the sensory properties of a light skin-feel ester with strong solvency for actives, pigments, and UV filters. In personal care, it functions as a spreading agent and solvent.
