Description

Polyquaternium 37 (CAS 26161-33-1), also known as Methacryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium chloride homopolymer, is a cationic conditioning polymer used across personal care and industrial formulations.

It functions primarily as a rheology modifier and film-forming agent, building viscosity and delivering substantivity to treated surfaces. In rinse-off and leave-on hair care products it provides detangling.

In shampoos, conditioners, and styling formulations, it provides frizz control and improved wet combability by depositing a conditioning film on the hair shaft. Skin care formulators incorporate it into lotions.

In creams, it thickens aqueous systems and enhances the sensory profile of emulsions. In home care and industrial cleaning products, it supports suspension of actives and improves surface adhesion of cleaning agents.
