Description

Polyquaternium-7 (CAS 108464-53-5), also known as dimethyldiallylammonium chloride acrylamide polymer, is a cationic conditioning polymer used across personal care and industrial cleaning formulations.

It deposits onto negatively charged surfaces such as hair, skin, and hard substrates to deliver conditioning, detangling, and film-forming effects. In shampoos and conditioners, it reduces combing friction.

This polymer improves wet and dry feel without weighing hair down. Body washes and skin cleansers incorporate it to leave a smooth, conditioned after-feel on skin following rinse-off during daily use.

In home care and institutional cleaning products, it functions as a soil-release and surface-conditioning agent. It is frequently utilized in hard surface cleaners and various fabric care formulations.

It also acts as a rheology modifier in liquid formulations, contributing to viscosity stability and suspension of active ingredients. This ensures a consistent product performance over its entire shelf life.

Polyquaternium-7 is supplied as an aqueous solution, typically at active concentrations ranging from 5% to 12%. It is available in cosmetic-grade specifications suitable for personal care applications.

Technical-grade material is also offered for industrial cleaning end uses. Packaging is standard in drums and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) for commercial volumes and large scale manufacturing.
