Description

Trideceth-3 (CAS 4403-12-7), also known as Triethylene glycol monotridecyl ether, is a short-chain ethoxylated tridecyl alcohol surfactant used across personal care, cleaning, and industrial formulations.

It functions as a nonionic emulsifier, wetting agent, and degreaser, offering low-foam performance suited to demanding formulation requirements. In personal care, it is used to emulsify oil-in-water systems.

This material is ideal for creams, lotions, and rinse-off cleansing products where controlled foam and skin compatibility are priorities. Industrial and institutional cleaning formulations rely on it for hard-surface degreasing.

It is particularly effective in low-foam detergent concentrates and spray and wipe applications where residue control matters. Textile processing operations use it as a wetting and scouring agent to improve fiber penetration.

This improves efficiency during pre-treatment and dyeing stages. In leather and paper processing, it supports uniform dispersion of treatment agents across substrates, improving consistency in finishing operations.

Trideceth-3 is typically supplied as a liquid or low-viscosity paste, depending on ambient temperature and concentration. It is available in technical and industrial grades for various manufacturing needs.

Some suppliers offer material compliant with cosmetic-use specifications. Bulk supply is standard in drums and IBCs for industrial buyers, with smaller pack sizes available for formulation development.
