Disperse yellow 124
Description
Disperse Yellow 124 (CAS 61968-69-2) is a synthetic disperse dye delivering bright, stable yellow shades on hydrophobic substrates. It is formulated specifically for dyeing polyester and other synthetic fibers where conventional water-soluble dyes fail to penetrate effectively.
In textile dyeing, this dye is applied to polyester fabrics and blended yarns using high-temperature exhaust or thermosol processes, producing consistent, wash-fast yellow tones. Plastics manufacturers use it to mass-color polycarbonate, ABS, and polyester resins.
The product is ideal for applications where uniform dispersion throughout the substrate is required. In printing and packaging, it is incorporated into solvent-based and dispersion inks for printing on synthetic films and coated substrates.
Leather finishing operations use it in surface coating formulations to achieve uniform yellow coloration on synthetic and treated leather goods. This versatility makes it a staple in industrial coloring processes across multiple manufacturing sectors.
The chemical is supplied as a fine powder or press cake, with powder form being the standard commercial presentation. It is available in technical and textile-grade specifications to meet various industrial requirements.
The dye content is typically standardized to defined strength levels for batch consistency. Packaging is offered in fiber drums or multi-wall bags suited to industrial volumes, ensuring safe transport and storage for large-scale operations.
