PolyDADMAC (CAS 26062-79-3) is a cationic polyelectrolyte and high-charge polymer.

Where is polyDADMAC used?

• Water treatment: primary coagulant or coagulant aid that destabilises suspended solids and colloidal matter, reducing turbidity ahead of filtration
• Personal care: conditions and deposits active ingredients onto hair and skin in shampoos, conditioners and rinse-off products
• Pulp and paper: improves retention of fine particles and fillers during sheet formation
• Textile and leather: fixes dyes and surface treatments
• It neutralises negatively charged particles and surfaces, enabling coagulation, flocculation and surface conditioning at low dosage.

Good to know: Grades are differentiated by molecular weight—low, medium and high—which determines charge density and performance. Technical and industrial grades are standard; some personal care grades are available.
