Description

Barium carbonate (CAS 513-77-9), also known as Witherite, is an inorganic barium salt used across ceramics, electronics, and specialty chemical manufacturing. It functions primarily as a barium source in high-temperature sintering processes. This versatile compound acts as a flux modifier, pH regulator, and catalyst precursor across multiple industrial sectors. In ceramic and tile manufacturing, it neutralizes soluble sulfates in clay bodies, preventing surface efflorescence in fired products.
