Description

Barium fluoride (CAS 7787-32-8), commonly referred to as BaF2, is an inorganic salt sourced for its optical transparency, flux activity, and role as a fluoride source in high-performance industrial processes.

It serves manufacturers in electronics, metallurgy, and specialty materials where precise fluoride chemistry is required. In optical and electronics manufacturing, it is used to produce scintillator crystals.

The material is essential for infrared-transmitting windows for detector and sensor assemblies. Metallurgical processors use it as a flux additive in aluminum and specialty alloy smelting operations.

In these applications, it lowers melting points and improves slag fluidity for better efficiency. In polymer and plastics compounding, it functions as a flame retardant additive and processing aid.

It is also utilized for fluoropolymer systems and catalyst formulators who incorporate it as a precursor. It acts as a promoter in various fluorination and dehydration reactions for chemical synthesis.

Barium fluoride is supplied as a white crystalline powder or pressed optical-grade pieces. Technical-grade material covers metallurgical and industrial catalyst uses for large scale manufacturing.

High-purity optical-grade BaF2 meets tighter specifications demanded by scintillator and infrared optics manufacturers. Bulk quantities are available for industrial supply chains and logistics.

Smaller lots are offered for specialty optical and electronic applications requiring high precision. We ensure all shipments meet rigorous internal quality controls for consistency and performance.
