Decyl glucoside

Decyl glucoside (CAS 58846-77-8), also known as decyl beta-D-glucopyranoside, is a mild, plant-derived nonionic surfactant.

Where is Decyl glucoside used?

• Personal care: primary or co-surfactant in shampoos, body washes and facial cleansers, generating stable foam while maintaining skin and scalp tolerance
• Baby care: meets mildness requirements that sulfate-based surfactants cannot
• Household and industrial cleaning: degreasing and emulsification in concentrates for sensitive surface or skin-contact applications
• Food-contact and natural-certified cleaning: biodegradability and ingredient origin meet COSMOS or ECOCERT standards
• It delivers foaming, emulsification and cleansing performance with broad compatibility across formulation systems.

Good to know: Unlike harsher sulfate-based surfactants, it is suitable for sensitive skin applications.
