Alkyl polyglucoside

Alkyl polyglucoside (CAS 68515-73-1), abbreviated APG-0810, is a non-ionic surfactant derived from renewable plant-based sugars and fatty alcohols. Also known as decyl octyl glycosides.

Where is Alkyl polyglucoside used?

• Personal care: primary surfactant in shampoos, body washes and facial cleansers
• Home care: hard surface cleaners, dishwashing liquids and all-purpose sprays for detergency and grease removal
• Industrial and textile: wetting and emulsification in fabric processing baths and leather degreasing
• Agricultural sprays: co-emulsifier and dispersing agent
• It functions as a mild, high-foaming cleanser and emulsifier.

Good to know: Mildness and foam quality are formulation priorities. Food-grade and cosmetic-grade specifications are available; technical-grade material is offered where purity thresholds are less stringent.
