Pigment red 112
Description
Pigment Red 112 (CAS 6535-46-2), also marketed as Permanent Red FGR, Naphthol Red FGR, and Luconyl Red 3855, is a high-performance azo pigment delivering strong red coloration across a broad range of industrial substrates.
It is valued in demanding applications for its color strength, heat stability, and resistance to migration. In coatings and industrial paints, it produces vivid, opaque red shades with good lightfastness suitable for both solvent-borne and water-borne systems.
Plastics processors incorporate it into polyolefins, PVC, and engineering polymers where consistent color development and thermal stability during processing are critical. Printing ink manufacturers use it in packaging inks, particularly for flexible packaging.
This pigment is ideal where sharp hue and printability on film substrates are required. Textile and leather finishers apply it in pigment printing pastes and surface coatings to achieve uniform, durable red tones across various materials.
Pigment Red 112 is supplied as a dry powder, and press cake forms are available from select producers for wet-process ink and coating applications. This versatility allows for seamless integration into different manufacturing workflows.
Technical grade is the standard commercial offering, with product variants differentiated by particle size, surface treatment, and tinting strength to suit specific end-use requirements and performance standards.
