Soyamide DEA

Description

Soyamide DEA (CAS 68425-47-8), also known commercially as Mackamide S, is a diethanolamide derived from soybean fatty acids used as a foam booster, thickener, and emulsifier across personal care and industrial cleaning formulations.

It stabilizes foam systems and improves product texture without requiring synthetic fatty acid feedstocks. In shampoos, body washes, and liquid hand soaps, it boosts and stabilizes foam generated by anionic surfactants while simultaneously thickening the base.

Industrial and institutional cleaners use it to improve soil suspension and extend foam persistence in hard-surface and degreasing applications. Textile processing operations incorporate it as an emulsifier and lubricant aid during fiber preparation and finishing stages.

In leather treatment and paper manufacturing, it supports emulsification of processing oils and improves surface conditioning performance. Soyamide DEA is supplied as an amber to yellow viscous liquid for various industrial applications.

It is available in technical grade, which is the standard specification for both personal care and industrial cleaning end uses. Drum and IBC packaging are typical for bulk procurement, with product typically offered at standard active content concentrations.

These concentrations are aligned with industry norms to ensure consistent performance across different batches. The material provides excellent compatibility with a wide range of surfactants and chemical additives used in modern manufacturing.
