Cocamide MEA (CAS 68140-00-1), derived from coconut oil fatty acids and monoethanolamine, is a fatty acid alkanolamide used across personal care and industrial cleaning formulations. Known commercially as a foam booster and viscosity builder, it conditions lather texture and stabilizes surfactant systems in rinse-off and leave-on products alike.

In shampoos and liquid soaps, this ingredient thickens the base formula and enhances foam density without requiring high loading levels for the manufacturer.
