Description

Acetylethanolamine (CAS 142-26-7), also known as Acetamide MEA and acetic monoethanolamide, is a bifunctional amide-alcohol compound used across textile, leather, paper, and personal care manufacturing.

It functions as a humectant, emulsifier, and rheology modifier in aqueous-based formulations and process baths. In personal care and cosmetics, it conditions and retains moisture in leave-on and rinse-off formulations.

This includes creams, lotions, and hair care products. Textile processors use it in finishing baths and dyeing auxiliaries, where it improves fiber wettability and dye penetration uniformity during the manufacturing process.

In leather processing, it supports fat-liquoring and softening formulations that require controlled viscosity and moisture retention. This ensures the final leather products maintain their desired texture and durability.

Paper manufacturers incorporate it into coating and sizing preparations to improve surface uniformity and water retention during processing. This chemical is essential for achieving high-quality finishes in paper production.

Acetylethanolamine is supplied as a clear to slightly yellow liquid. It is available in technical and industrial grades suited to textile, leather, and paper applications, with cosmetic-grade material available for use.

Standard packaging includes drums and IBC containers, with bulk quantities available for high-volume industrial procurement. Our supply chain ensures consistent quality and reliable delivery for all industrial manufacturing needs.
