Description

Dimethylethanolamine (CAS 108-01-0), also known as DMAE, is a bifunctional amine-alcohol used across industrial and specialty chemical sectors as a pH regulator, catalyst, and corrosion inhibitor.

Its dual amine and hydroxyl functionality makes it a building block and process chemical in coatings, water treatment, and polymer manufacturing. In waterborne coatings and resin systems, it neutralizes acidic binders.

This improves dispersion stability and film formation. Water treatment programs use it to condition boiler and cooling water systems, where it inhibits corrosion by maintaining alkaline pH in steam condensate lines.

As a catalyst in polyurethane foam production, it controls gel and blow reaction timing. This is a critical parameter for foam manufacturers managing cycle times and cell structure during the production process.

In metalworking fluids and lubricant formulations, it buffers pH to extend fluid service life and protect ferrous metal surfaces. This ensures long-term stability and performance in demanding industrial environments.

Dimethylethanolamine is supplied as a clear, low-viscosity liquid. It is available in technical grade for industrial applications including coatings, water treatment, and polymer processing for various sectors.

Bulk supply is standard in drums and IBC totes, with tank truck quantities available for high-volume industrial buyers. We ensure reliable logistics and consistent quality for all our chemical distribution partners.
