Tallamide DEA

CAS
68155-20-4

Description

Tallamide DEA (CAS 68155-20-4), also known as Tallowamide DEA, is a diethanolamine condensate of tall oil fatty acids used across personal care and industrial cleaning formulations.

It functions primarily as a foam booster, viscosity builder, and emulsifier in surfactant-based systems. In shampoos, liquid soaps, and body washes, it thickens the base and stabilizes foam.

This stabilization is particularly effective when used alongside anionic surfactants such as SLES. Industrial and household cleaners use it to improve soil emulsification and sustain foam performance.

It maintains high performance across varying water hardness conditions. Metalworking fluid formulators incorporate it as an emulsifier and lubricity additive in water-soluble cutting and grinding fluids.

Textile and leather processing operations apply it to improve wetting and emulsification during scouring, dyeing, and fat-liquoring stages. It is supplied as an amber to yellow viscous liquid.

It is available in technical grade, which is the standard specification for industrial and personal care applications. Bulk supply is typical in drums and IBC containers.

The composition reflects the mixed fatty acid profile characteristic of tall oil origin. This versatile chemical provides essential structural properties to a wide range of commercial products.
