Description

PEG-15 hydrogenated lanolin (CAS 68648-27-1), also sold as ethoxylated hydrogenated lanolin, is a polyethoxylated derivative of hydrogenated wool wax used primarily as an emulsifier and humectant.

The hydrogenation step stabilizes the lanolin base against oxidation, while ethoxylation introduces water compatibility that the parent material lacks. This combination makes it effective for blending oil and water phases.

It delivers moisture-retention performance to finished products. In skin and hair care formulations, it functions as an O/W emulsifier and conditioning agent in creams, lotions, and leave-on treatments.

It is particularly useful where a non-greasy skin feel is required. Textile processing operations use it as a fiber lubricant and softening agent, improving handle and reducing static in fiber treatments.

It is effective for both natural and synthetic fiber treatments. In industrial coatings and adhesive systems, it acts as a wetting and dispersing aid, improving substrate adhesion and coating uniformity.

Leather finishing formulations incorporate it to condition and soften hides while supporting even dye and finish penetration. This versatility makes it a staple in various chemical manufacturing sectors.

PEG-15 hydrogenated lanolin is typically supplied as a pale yellow to amber waxy solid or paste, depending on ambient temperature. It is available in cosmetic-grade quality for personal care raw materials.

The product aligns with standard industry purity expectations for high-performance applications. Bulk supply is standard in drums or fiber containers to meet large-scale industrial and cosmetic production needs.
