Ethoxylated rapeseed oil amide

CAS Number
85536-23-8

Description

Ethoxylated rapeseed oil amide (CAS 85536-23-8), also supplied under the trade names Rokamid MR 17 and RAP 3, is a nonionic surfactant derived from rapeseed oil fatty acids. It functions as an emulsifier, dispersant, and cleaning agent across textile, agricultural, and industrial cleaning applications. In textile and leather processing, it emulsifies fiber lubricants.

This chemical improves bath stability and penetration during wet finishing by acting as a softening agent. Agricultural formulations use it to disperse and stabilize crop protection concentrates. This ensures even distribution of active ingredients across spray applications. In industrial and institutional cleaning products, it contributes degreasing performance while maintaining compatibility.

It works effectively with other surfactant systems in various formulations. Paper processing operations use it as a dispersing and wetting aid during pulp treatment and coating preparation. Ethoxylated rapeseed oil amide is typically supplied as a liquid or paste, depending on the degree of ethoxylation. Technical grade is the standard commercial form for these uses.

Bulk supply is available in drums and IBC containers to meet industrial needs. Specific ethoxylate chain lengths are offered to match precise application requirements for our global clients.
