Description

TEA-C12-14 Alkyl Sulfate (CAS 90583-18-9) is an anionic surfactant produced by neutralizing C12-14 fatty alcohol sulfates with triethanolamine. It delivers effective surface-active performance across personal care and industrial cleaning formulations.

The chemical functions primarily as a foaming, cleansing, and emulsifying agent. In personal care, it acts as the primary or co-surfactant in shampoos, body washes, and liquid hand soaps, generating stable lather.

It is highly effective at removing oils and soils from skin and hair. Home care and industrial cleaning products rely on it for degreasing hard surfaces, where its anionic character supports soil suspension.

The product ensures excellent rinsability in liquid detergent concentrates. Textile processing uses it as a scouring and wetting agent to remove sizing agents, oils, and contaminants from fiber before dyeing.

In leather and paper manufacturing, it supports emulsification of processing oils. It also aids in the uniform dispersion of treatment chemicals across various substrates during the production process.

TEA-C12-14 Alkyl Sulfate is typically supplied as a liquid or paste, with active matter content commonly ranging from 35% to 40%. It is available in technical and cosmetic grades for various uses.

Cosmetic-grade material meets purity requirements suitable for rinse-off and leave-on formulations. Bulk supply is standard in drums and IBC containers to meet the needs of large-scale industrial manufacturers.
