Description

TIPA-laureth sulfate (CAS 107600-36-2), also known as Triisopropanolamine Laureth Sulfate, is an anionic surfactant formed from the neutralization of laureth sulfate with triisopropanolamine.

It functions as a primary cleansing, foaming, and emulsifying agent across personal care and industrial cleaning formulations. In shampoos, body washes, and liquid cleansers, it delivers effective soil removal.

The compound provides stable foam while maintaining compatibility with conditioning actives. Industrial and household cleaning formulations use it where mildly alkaline pH and good grease-cutting performance are required.

Textile and leather processing operations incorporate it as a wetting and dispersing agent during scouring and dyeing stages. Paper manufacturing also draws on its emulsifying properties to support pulp processing.

The chemical is utilized in surface treatment steps and is typically supplied as a liquid or viscous paste. Active matter content commonly ranges around 25–35% depending on the specific formulation requirements.

It is available in technical and cosmetic grades, with cosmetic-grade material meeting relevant personal care industry standards for use in rinse-off and leave-on products. Bulk supply is standard in drums and IBC containers.
