Dioctyl azelate

Dioctyl azelate (CAS 103-24-2), also known commercially as bis(2-ethylhexyl) azelate (DOZ), is a synthetic diester plasticizer and lubricant base fluid derived from azelaic acid. It delivers low-temperature flexibility and lubrication performance across demanding industrial applications.

In plastics compounding, DOZ functions as a primary or secondary plasticizer for PVC and other polymers where low-temperature performance is a formulation requirement. This is particularly useful in wire and cable jacketing, films, and flexible profiles.
