Sodium xylenesulfonate

Sodium xylenesulfonate (CAS 1300-72-7), commercially known as SXS or Naxonate, is an anionic hydrotrope used across detergent, personal care, and industrial cleaning formulations.

It increases the solubility of other surfactants and active ingredients in aqueous systems, allowing formulators to achieve higher active concentrations without phase separation or viscosity problems.

In liquid detergent and hard-surface cleaner manufacturing, SXS is used to boost the loading of anionic and nonionic surfactants, enabling concentrated, stable products for various markets.
